Computer Labs Migrated to EAD

2014/08/25

Effective August 25, 2014, users will no longer need to sign up for a computer lab account in order to use the Faculty of Education central lab computers.

The Windows and Mac systems have been migrated to UBC’s Enterprise Active Directory (EAD), a centralized authentication and authorization system that synchronizes user accounts, password and related information using Campus-Wide Login (CWL). The migration will enable improved IT support and enhanced security.

Now that the computers have been migrated to EAD, users will login into the lab computers with their Campus-Wide Login (CWL).

A temporary guest EAD account will be made available to instructors only to facilitate access for classes booked into the computer labs.
