Wireless Access
The UBC Wireless network allows faculty, staff, and students to connect to the Internet on the UBC campus at high-speeds, 24/7, without plugging in cables. Wireless Internet access is available throughout most UBC campuses, including Vancouver Point Grey, Okanagan, and the teaching hospitals.
A computer with a compatible Wi-Fi card and a Campus-Wide Login (CWL) account is required.
UBC IT troubleshoots and assists with configuration of devices for wireless access.
Visitors can connect to the ‘ubcvisitor’ network for light web browsing at no charge.
Wired Access
Wired Internet access is available in most rooms in the Neville Scarfe Building, Ponderosa Annexes E, F, and G, and UBC Ritsumeikan.
UBC IT configures wired access for devices on approval from either the unit administrator or the faculty member owning the space.
